Today Strike Map attended the @SIPTU and @UNI_Europa protest in Dublin alongside comrades from @CWU @MandateTU and @fsuireland calling on the Government to put collective bargaining and fair employment standards at the heart of how public contracts are awarded.

Support Ambulance professionals! Last week, SIPTU members in the NAS voted overwhelmingly for industrial action, up to and including strike action. The first date of action will be a 24-hour stoppage on the 12th May.

Government COULD have put together an innovative and progressive package of direct supports. It COULD have regulated prices and profit margins in the energy sector. INSTEAD, they opted for regressive tax cuts and subsidies to employers. Workers abandoned AGAIN by Government

SIPTU has called on Government to ensure that all workers in low paid industries benefit from a new floor on annual salaries for holders of non-EEA employment permits, warning the Union will not accept a situation where workers already living and working in Ireland are paid less.
