@60Minutes "Free speech needs boundaries." Boundaries is yet another Orwellian word for censorship and suppression. That mass media is promoting these ideas is profoundly disturbing.

“Free speech needs boundaries… Without boundaries, a very small group of people can rely on endless freedom to say anything that they want, while everyone else is scared and intimidated,” says Josephine Ballon, CEO of HateAid. cbsn.ws/4i2pCYm

@DanielKotzin 100% correct. I wanted to puke the moment this odious policy reared its ugly head. Still do when I think about it. A complete and utter moral failure. Repugnant.

Let’s not forget that white-collar professionals who supported lockdowns failed not just intellectually, but morally. They were advocating for a policy that would force other people to assume a “great risk” while they and their families were “safe” at home.

We were commanded to wear masks to protect other people. Other people who were themselves wearing masks. We were commanded to get vaccinated to protect other people. Other people who were themselves vaccinated. There is no universe in which these commands ever made any sense.

There is no such thing as “hybrid immunity.” It was made up as a justification for the compelled vaccination of people with natural immunity.

@danielkotzin The instant it happened I wanted to puke. The "essentials" working from home, the "disposables" on the front line. It is morally repugnant. Yet no one I know seemed the least bit troubled by it. Guess if you clapped for them that made up for it.

Did the people calling for lockdowns while cowering at home in the spring of 2020 just take it for granted that the so-called essential workers had to “expose” themselves to a “deadly” virus every day on their behalf? They didn’t notice that this arrangement is morally abhorrent?

@Humble_Analysis @k_eagar It's also why I despise the Great Barrington Declaration; its "focused protection" voodoo is a subset of the protect everyone voodoo. We have no agency in this matter. "There was a virus going round/ Papa caught it/ And he died last spring." Same as it ever was.

@k_eagar There is no current covid “containment” strategy because there is no containing covid. Everyone gets infected, every couple years at minimum, and there’s not a damn thing anyone can do about it.

We have had more COVID deaths in the first 20 days of 2023 than we had in the whole of 2020. Our death toll in 2023 is 1,063 deaths in just 20 days. A person dies of COVID every 27 minutes. Our current COVID containment strategy is not working

Wake up Australia. Someone is dying of COVID every 27 minutes. 1,063 COVID deaths in the 1st 20 days of 2023. Thanks @covidliveau for keeping us informed about the 2,300 in hospital & the 380 who died this week. Why are government, public health officials & mainstream media MIA?

@eugyppius1 Canada has the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. I discovered very quickly they aren't worth the paper they're printed on. I suffered under the delusion I had these rights. I know better now.

The concept of human rights is peculiar to a specific political ideology, namely liberalism. Because this ideology is ascendant right now, its doctrines can feel like they’re part of the fabric of the universe, but they’re not.

In response to objections: “Human rights” do not have a basis in nature, or all societies would have them and they would predate the enlightenment. Nor do they have a basis in Christianity. The Christian tradition was ca. 1500 years old before anyone talked of rights.

I don’t believe in FrEeDoM or DemOcRAcY or HuMAn RiGHtS at all. Upon introspection, I never did. All divine force has left these idols, if indeed they were ever animated in the first place. Every day more and more people realise that these old gods are dead:

In summary: viral interference/competition is real; covid is seasonal; masks don't work; interventions always come too late. In other words, despite our illusions of control, there is simply nothing anyone did or could have done to "stop" covid.

A lot can be learned from observing the prevalence trends of respiratory viruses over the past few years: 1. If you have a cold, it is almost always most likely rhinovirus and rhinovirus was also the only respiratory virus not completely suppressed by covid:

By the time most mandates were imposed in late 2021, banning unjabbed people from normal life, it was abundantly clear there was no public benefit to the shots. Yet the mental block everyone had was impossible to get past. Legal norms were trampled on like horses to a protester.

Even *if* there was some apparent reduction in transmission in the earliest days of the "real world trials" (i.e. on mass rollout to the public), that was put to bed with Delta's extensive "breakthroughs" (noted by CDC in 07/21). twitter.com/LDBildy/status…
Lisa Bildy@LDBildy

A year ago today, scores of vaccinated people spread Covid-19 to each other at several events on Cape Cod, proving that the mRNA vaccines don't stop onward transmission & that the vaxxed carry comparable viral loads. By July 30, even the CDC admitted this. cnbc.com/2021/07/30/cdc…

It's nice that people are finally hearing the message that these injections were not tested for their ability to stop transmission (the "speed of science" apparently precluded this). But it has been known for a *long* time. And it was sold to the public as doing so nonetheless.
Lisa Bildy@LDBildy

🧵This op-ed is stunning & brilliant. But not a thing written here is new to those who have tuned out mainstream media & done our best to "follow the science" these last 2 years. What IS new is that it got published at all in our flagship national paper. #comments" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">theglobeandmail.com/opinion/articl…

@kylamb8 @TwitterSafety The first rule of censor club is never talk about censor club. Denmark expressed regrets for ever having allowed them to be used in kids. Australia recommends against it for under 50s. Norway for under 65. Facts as "misinformation". Fact checkers: An oxymoron for the moronic age.

For a time today, @TwitterSafety decided they knew health guidance better than the Surgeon General of the third largest state in the country, and had removed this tweet warning 18-39 year old males of potential dangers to mRNA vaccines being seen in data. The tweet is back.
Joseph A. Ladapo, MD, PhD@FLSurgeonGen

Today, we released an analysis on COVID-19 mRNA vaccines the public needs to be aware of. This analysis showed an increased risk of cardiac-related death among men 18-39. FL will not be silent on the truth. Guidance: bit.ly/3ClKF5f Press Release: bit.ly/3T8bQH8
