HERE’S THE SCOOP: Our @NYDNUnion members cover a city of more than 8 million with just 53 full-timers – and just under half of those people make less than $69,284, the minimum living wage for the city…..

Our @NYMagUnion has reached a tentative contract deal with @voxmedia and @NYMag. The deal includes strong AI protections, double digit wage increases over the life of the contract and more.....

A fair union contract will ensure Sports Illustrated remains an industry-leading workplace that can attract and keep talented people, do right by its employees and live up to the standard of the brand’s history. We look forward to working toward that contract together. (3/3)

We also had a union contract in place at our previous employer, and we believe the rights and protections we already fought for remain vital for our members. We are using our previous contract as a framework with which to bargain the new one. (2/3)

We are excited to share that we’ve begun bargaining a contract with our operators at Minute Media. When Minute Media acquired Sports Illustrated, it took on more than just the legacy of the brand. It took on a stable of talented and hard-working employees as well. (1/3) 🧵

We are on ULP strike. We gave @nytimes management months of notice of our strike deadline, we made ourselves available around the clock, but the company has decided that our members aren’t worth enough to agree to a fair contract and stop committing unfair labor practices.
