Hopefully this provides kickers and coaches with data-informed insights to support some crucial decisions during matches! Finally, a huge thanks to @GeorgiaAScott, Jocelyn Mara at @UC_RISE, @M_Rowan_Brown and @neilbezodis for all the help in piecing this together!

Future work might look to utilise xPoints to further evaluate kicker performance including trends in their form over time. 📈

@mterblanche2 Hi, yes some of my results are published in my MSc thesis, mainly Chapter 3 (cronfa.swan.ac.uk/Record/cronfa5…), and a more succinct version in Part 1 here (tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.10…). It's based on data from the last RWC which I'd be happy to share given it was all publicly available

Brilliant! Are your results published @SJBiomech? There's a lot of talk about the Pollard/Libbok selection and kicking abilities but most of it is opinion rather than fact. Hence looking for data. I may need to go through past RWC results to built a dataset.
