One benefit to the older DSLRs they brought with them to the moon I didn’t think of, was they have an optical viewfinder. Optical observations are superior to digital in many ways. Modern digital cameras are amazing but that is something they’ve lost.

Imagine typing all of this while actively using a smartphone - that relies on systems that fundamentally depend on space-based infrastructure.
Your phone's GPS works because of satellites in orbit. Without them, location services (maps, ride apps, delivery tracking) would not function accurately.
A huge portion of global communication - especially international data transfer - relies on satellites alongside undersea cables.
Weather forecasting depends heavily on satellite imaging. Storm tracking, rainfall prediction, and climate monitoring would be drastically worse without them.
Live TV broadcasts, some internet services, and emergency communications all depend on satellites.
You don't have to trust NASA or any single space agency. But you are already trusting the technology built on orbital mechanics every time your phone connects, navigates, or updates.
