@therealwinny1 @teachthemx3 Missing one class or even a couple is not truant. And public schools are not allowed to kick you out just based on attendance, all they can do is not pass/graduate you (which many just let bad students pass just to eliminate the work they are).

Oh Wendy, public school does drop you for not attending. First of all, you’re truant so you’re marked as truant. The parents would have to answer for why their child is truant. I went through 12 years of high school and college so I do know the difference. You cannot skip an entire year of school and show up the last week. In no state in this country cannot be done. You just are seeking attention.

I have a senior on my roster who hasn’t attended my class a single day this semester. She showed up today for the first time. We have 7 days left before grades are finalized for seniors. My administrator just asked me to see what I can do to help her graduate. In case anyone here is a new follower, this is why I’m leaving public education.

@MaryTracy @ed_in_my_head I’m GenX and lived through the 70’s and we got McDonalds as a birthday meal. My mom called me “pork-chop” because I was chubby and we ate pork every dinner because it was the cheapest meat at the time. Lunch was a slice of bologna on white bread.

They did NOT live cheap. They had restaurants, with tablecloth and cloth napkins. Do NOT buy the revisionism that tells you the Boomers had a better life because they spent less money: THEY SIMPLY HAD MORE MONEY
Jim Sharp@prowrstlngstrng

I am not defending boomers, but they did generally live pretty cheap in their 20s Going out for coffee was insane. You threw Yuban into tiur Mr Coffe and put it in a thermos Eating out meant a trip to Pizza Hut maybe once a month Vacation was driving to a campsite

A regular-sized sandwich, a bag of chips, and a soda cost you like $17 now at Jersey Mike's, then they ask for a tip on their tablet, making the total close to $20. Wealthy people don't care because they don't need to budget, but for middle-class Americans, this is a big problem.

@DagnyTaggartUSA Everything is expensive but you do know that delivery orders or even pick up after they shop for you orders are higher priced than if you went in and shopped yourself right? You can save money by doing the shopping yourself.

One week of groceries for a family. Nothing extravagant. Just the bare bones in a blue state. I stay home. My husband only leaves the house to work. We have cancelled vacations. Taken our children out of extracurricular activities. Cancelled our gym membership’s. We do not go out to restaurants frequently. I’m wearing the same old clothes that I have for years and I need socks and underwear, but that will have to, I guess, never happen. @RFKJr_Official @POTUS @JDVance HELP!

Just a friendly warning. We don’t even make $200k per year in Congress despite working nearly 140 days. If we aren’t properly compensated, a lot of us will go to the private sector and you will be left with some real idiots in Congress.

American has been paying $94 per month for her student loans She just had to do her income-driven recertification Her new required payment increased from $94 per month to $934 a month “I'm not paying them, like what the f*ck” Student loans are a scam and textbook predatory lending This situation is very common right now in 2026 to see 10x jumps in payments. Thousands of borrowers are experiencing during IDR recertification Recertification was delayed for years
Due to COVID pauses, legal battles over the SAVE plan that was blocked in courts and later terminated and processing backlogs at the Department of Education Many people hadn’t had their income officially re-evaluated since 2020–2022. The system finally began forcing recertifications in 2026 It pulled your most recent higher income for everyone who has to re-certify. Even if your income only rose modestly since 2017-2020, that multi-year gap makes the new payment jump feel massive Student loans are a scam, because of interest it takes people a lifetime to pay them back

@MbarkCherguia My neighborhood has a literal path where our mailman walks because he doesn’t use the sidewalk. It doesn’t bother me but it’s not like these ppl didn’t know their job required a lot of walking and if a homeowner doesn’t want you walking on their lawn they should use the sidewalk

Homeowner politely asks mailman: 'Can you not walk on the grass?' He gets annoyed, throws her mail on the ground & storms off. She was respectful. He threw a tantrum on the job. Who’s really wrong here — homeowner or mailman? x.com/i/status/20559…

@LqLana Back before Obamacare I was off my parents insurance even earlier than 26 and I went a couple of years without health insurance until I got a steady. You can thank Obama for fining him for not having insurance. But he at 26 he’s old enough to get a job with insurance.

My son just aged out of my health insurance. Two choices for him. Pay over $1,400 a month for COBRA or Pay over $400 a month on the Health Marketplace, which is actually the least expensive plan there. Apparently, I'm going to be paying for his cell phone forever to help him out. The system is not set up to help young adults succeed. Housing unaffordable. School is unaffordable and Healthcare unaffordable and you have the guy in the White House more concerned about gold for his ballroom and blue paint for the reflecting pool. #DemsUnited

Bottom line, @spencerpratt and his family are homeless along with all of his neighbors in the Palisades because of the policies of @MayorOfLA and @CAgovernor. If Angelenos want to see permits to rebuild finally open up, bureaucrat nonsense cut and the fire hydrants/reservoirs filled back up, you had better vote for @spencerpratt before they take your land from you by force!

@NACinematics @RandyRRQuaid He’s trying to make a point. That even though he’s rich he’s not able to rebuild his home on the property he owns. Could he buy a new house? Yes. But he doesn’t want to (nor should he have to) buy a new house somewhere else, he should be able to rebuild this one and he can’t.

@RandyRRQuaid I’m sorry, but this shit sounds like a choice. His net worth is $1 million. While he and Montag famously blew through their \(\$10\) million fortune from MTV's The Hills, I don’t want someone that’s trying to run for some type of office who can’t even manage money correctly

Pratt lost his home and mailing address. He can’t safely stay most of the time in his trailer on his burned-out lot. The air is obviously dangerous; he can’t open his eyes or breathe. There is no water or electricity, so it must be too dangerous for kids. He is shuttling between his dad’s in Carpinteria and hotels. What a nightmare @spencerpratt ELECT HIM HE'S LIVING THE NIGHTMARE AND IS MOTIVATED TO FIX IT!!

So if Trump were actually a ped*phile and was implicated in the crimes of Epstein... That would mean the Clintons, Obama, Pelosi, Schumer, Biden and ALL THE REST of them kept that a secret and allowed him to get elected... TWICE!! Ya, that sounds plausible...
