.@OlathePolice are investigating a reported armed disturbance that left a woman critically injured.
Police say they were called to Two Trails Park, 1000 N. Ridgeview Road, at 12:06 p.m.
A 38-year-old woman was stabbed, according to police.
The news release says that a 27-year-old man was has been taken into custody and there is no ongoing threat to the public.
A witness I spoke to believes this was a random act and the suspect did not know the victim.
Several detectives are at the scene speaking to witnesses.
Crime scene tape surrounds the shelter between the playground and baseball diamond.
