Someone gained access to my phone account tonight. I got a text with a pin and a few seconds later a text saying security access granted. I phoned my provider, who informed me someone had been on my account and made a £1.33 payment and my account was showing as £250 in credit…

My account is never in credit by more than a few quid. What kind of scammer adds money to an account they’re hacking ?! What’s the game plan here??

Someone's still off school. And has tummy ache, sore throat and looks ropey. So, homemade snacks granny sent and baked cheddar for tea.

@SLsteve70 @N97xoxo Yes I’ve lost a chunk. Even with my 1800 this month I’m about 24 thousand less than I was last month. It should recover. (I keep telling myself). I’ve got 2-3 years for the markets to come back 🤞

My 10 year old daughter just replied "cheers mate" to me and I'm not sure how I feel about it

@SLsteve70 @N97xoxo Yes me too, but even though I’m managing to put £1800 a month away, I’m still well short on what’s deemed “comfortable”. Basically, for every £25k in your pot, it only gives you £1k a year pension. Very scary.

@SLsteve70 @N97xoxo Younger people also need to realise that state pension may not even be a thing when they get to retirement age, so PP really is important. My Sister (64) has a pension pot of £200k. She thought that was a lot of money till she was told it only provides a pension of £8,000 A YEAR!

@SLsteve70 @N97xoxo I’ve been paying in since I was 21, but nowhere near enough. I always thought retirement was a lifetime away…. It was at the time, but I’m now 62 and finding myself having to pay £1800 a month to give myself a reasonable pot when I fully retire at 65/66.

@N97xoxo I pay £1800 a month. Do the maths based on your age and planned retirement age. If you want to retire on a £40k annual pension you need a £1M pension pot. It really is THAT scary.
