This person is getting the block. No one knows how somebody else would respond in a circumstance like this. I can assure you that sitting here right now you don’t even know how you would respond in a circumstance like this. I certainly had no idea how I was going to react to my husband passing. We also don’t know what the plan for this event was or why people stood where they did. And it’s none of our business.

This was so profoundly moving. As a widow, I feel so much for Sam. I cannot imagine walking through this with children. Seeing the NASCAR field, spouses/partners, and children flank her and the kids 💔

@zachstur @notthefakeSVP And the importance of children not having to be strong when they’ve experienced this kind of loss. Or any loss. We don’t hear that message often enough as a society in general.

I can tell you that as a widow myself, I physically remember what it was like to breathe like that. The overwhelming feelings paired with the desire to keep it together for the benefit of everyone else. And I did not have to do that with children or on a public stage. Let’s skip analyzing if tears were shed please.

@SMMHansen I absolutely agree. The pre race ceremony honoring Kyle was beautiful. I commend Sam, Brexton, Lennix, Kurt, Ashley Tom, and Gay for their bravery in facing this moment. For me and others, he was an idol and hero. But for them, he was a little brother, father, husband, son.

Absolutely agree with what Claire wrote below. I also have to say I am deeply impressed with how Steve O’Donnell handled this week. He demonstrated tremendous grace under pressure and always centered Kyle’s family and team.

Cooked these last night from Costco. 16 burgers for $24. Hands down the best frozen burger I’ve ever had. Just add salt and pepper or whatever seasoning you prefer. If you are cooking a bunch, I highly recommend a black stone because they are very big around in diameter.
