Due to all the PD encryptions coming up, I decided that I will be posting FD activity throughout Santa Clara County on a new account @SVscanners , in case anyone is interested. Sunnyvale incidents will be posted on there also.

I misunderstood the requirement slightly, it appears departments are required to submit a plan by end of 2020, but not actually required to implement it just yet.

The attached document below describes the reason for some departments enabling encryption in California. It sounds like most departments in California are going to go with radio encryption to comply with this requirement by the end of this year. oag.ca.gov/sites/all/file…

According to a witness the medical emergency DPS responded to on Murphy was for OC Spray deployment. This happened after a person in the downtown area was "...putting hands on protesters..." and was given several warnings before OC was deployed by another protester.

The Sunnyvale DPS Patrol radio channels are encrypted and cannot be listened to by civilians. instagram.com/hero_tent/ instagram.com/black.outreach…
