The allegations uncovered by BBC Panorama about British SAS and SBS forces in Iraq and Afghanistan are deeply alarming and reflect what Afghan families have been saying for almost a decade. 🧵

Explosive testimony from former UK Special Forces soldiers has revealed shocking allegations of war crimes in Afghanistan, including the execution of handcuffed detainees and children by SAS and SBS troops. In interviews with BBC Panorama, veterans said killings became “routine,” with weapons planted on bodies and reports falsified to cover up unlawful acts. One recalled seeing a boy handcuffed and then shot. The claims span more than a decade and implicate senior commanders. Despite repeated warnings from former Afghan President Karzai, former PM David Cameron denied knowing of specific UKSF abuses.
