It just gets worse, here is @stevereedlabour doing the morning rounds talking about reviving the High St. That’s exactly what I did !!!!!! and I’m getting a 68% increase in tax because of it!!! Excuse me if I don’t shout bullshit…..happy Sunday folks xx

We have been given the biggest increase in rates than any pub in Streatham. I met with @stevereedlabour the other day, he said a u turn was coming! It’s not! You build nice things this Labour wants to take them away. If we survive till the next election please don’t vote for them

Rumours abound about what is happening with the #Streatham Police base at 326 Streatham High Road, which houses the 3 Streatham Ward Safer Neighbourhood Police Teams. Are they being moved to the closed Gipsy Hill police station building in Crystal Palace ? Is the base closing ?

Germany 🇩🇪 to reduce Vat rate for Restaurants to 7% The new German coalition government cabinet of the CDU and SDP has on 30 July 2025 approved its draft budget, including that it will bring back the 7% reduced VAT rate for food sales by hospitality businesses. The effective date will be 1 January 2026. This was last in place until 1 January 2024 as a COVID-relief from 2020 to help restaurants and cafes during the pandemic. Every trade association across Europe has prioritised a vat reduction for Restaurants and Food Service as their number one priority. Thank you 🙏 @peterburkefg and Tanaiste @SimonHarrisTD for his “solumn promise” to the industry.

@BrixtonHatter This is not the case, the bill is for boarding the window the burglar broke, that job was booked by the police. The door damage is in the 1000s however

Police smashed down the door of Stanley’s pub in Streatham in the middle of the night, following reports of a burglary.
Now the owner is being charged £288 for the damage caused by the police.

So this is just insane!!! I get broken into last night AGAIN the police notice an hour later that the window has been broken so just decide to cave the door in also!! On what planet do you gain entry to a burgled premises with a battering ram @metpolice_uk ?
