Jeremiah and other Hebrew names include the name of God as a means of exaltation, no correlation whatsoever.

For example, Jeremiah's name means "Yahweh will exalt".

The God of the OT said "I am God" numerous times. See pics.
If Jesus is that same God, he also would have said "I am God".
But he didn't.
Therefore, it is perfectly justified to reject the idea that Jesus is God.
