In 2012, we took SOUPS to Washington, DC. We had an invited talk from FTC Commissioner @juliesbrill and went on a field trip to the White House, where we met President Obama's dog Bo!

At SOUPS 2008 (held @carnegiemellon @cylab) @moduloprime and @v0max pioneered the wearable poster concept. Both a fashion statement and a practical way to stand near your poster and the food at the same time, sadly this concept never took off.

@lorrietweet kindly provided a flashback of 20 years of SOUPS. Here are some highlights: The first SOUPS symposium was held @CarnegieMellon @CyLab in 2005. About 70 attendees gathered for talks, posters, discussion sessions and the first SOUPS ice cream social.
