After receiving many outstanding applications, we have finalized our SPINE fellows of 2023! We will be announcing them shortly along with their talk titles, and we are really looking forward to our meeting this year. Thank you to all who applied, and we hope to see you all there!

Meet Dr. Marcela Carmona, a postdoc in @ruimcosta lab at Columbia U. Dr. Carmona aims to identify molecular mechanisms of motor learning. Her work explores the intersection of learning and age induced transcriptional changes associated w age related motor dysfunction

Meet Willem Laursen. Dr. Laursen is a postdoc in @Nemvec lab at Brandeis University. His research centers on the sensory mechanisms that guide behaviors of vector mosquitoes and other pest insects.

Meet Dr. Amelia Cuarenta. @AmeliaForty is a postdoc in @Bangasser_Lab at Temple University. Her work focuses on understanding the effects of early life adversity on underlying genetic and epigenetic changes contributing to addiction-related behaviors.
