Millwall Football Club can confirm that Zak Sturge’s red card from Saturday’s fixture against Blackburn Rovers has been rescinded. Zak was shown a straight red card in the 59th minute following a collision with Rovers forward Yuki Ohashi. Following a successful appeal, the decision has been overturned and he will now be available to face Ipswich Town at Portman Road this weekend.

@_MAhern Looking at a still image isn’t accurate imo, the ball is going away from goal our CB is getting back to defend the box, the attacker whilst I think probably was fouled wasn’t going in on goal. From a Rovers POV, I understand why you’d say that but I think it’s incredibly harsh
