i think we need to stop using fame at a young age as a reason for why terrible people do awful things. he had 4 bandmates all the same age and while some of them are not good people, they are NOT as bad as he was and some of them are completely normal people

Just looking at the replies to the tweet I've quoted and others about this, some people on this site are genuinely mental. I don't think most people actually know what they're talking about when they say she "ruined the site". The adpocalypse and demonetization wasn't her fault, it was her job to appease both advertisers and creators. Without advertisers YouTube straight up doesn't run and they were boycotting until a solution came along, which was demonetizing content containing certain things. It's frustrating, and I lost a hell of a lot of money because of it, but it was necessary. Susan also was a key person in Google's takeover of YouTube which saw monetization in the first place and birthed a whole new industry which has created millions of jobs and let ordinary people who wouldn't have had a chance at being professional entertainers in mainstream media follow that dream.
