@andyhowellsport Not enough. CE is largely a funding mechanism not a cost plus little worthwhile 'education' in coach 'education' due to myriad reasons. Its incumbent on NGB's to be field leading here, WRU should invest more heavily...reap what you sow

From bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-un… to this "a more streamlined use of data" in 12 months. Sounds like too much data confused the players and coaches trying to create too much certainty. Be interested to hear some reflexive thoughts from the 'superbrains' in the RFU review.

We over-coach. We over-analyze. We over-schedule. We over-think. We over-explain. Our thirst for certainty and control drives us to over-index on so many elements of performance that we end up squeezing the humanity out of what we do. How do we change this dynamic?

@markwatkins2107 @simonrug Yes but that £££ in wages. The WRU can pay a fraction of that for access. Allowing this pathway to work for them not rip it up but retain its enormous benefits whilst Eng clubs pick at the tab and expose players to a higher level across the board. Not eggs in 1 basket.

@simonrug I must admit it would be terrific to see them playing in Wales along with Tommy Refell, Ioan Lloyd, Dan Thomas, Thomas Young etc. Can you imagine some of the back row battles we could look forward to!

Far from ideal with LRZ, Faletau, Callum Sheedy, Dan Biggar and Will Rowlands returning to their English clubs this week and potentially playing at the weekend, with the England game just around the corner. Shows why having players based in Wales is so vital.

@Aled_Lewis9 @PeterJones37 @scottbaldwin2 Spot on. Hence the Cardiff approach is maybe the way to go. Let them attend English schools, but contract them to the Cardiff Academy, thereby assisting them financially. Win, win.

Question again last night about the 60 cap rule, thoughts on players that haven’t been developed in wales but have to leave if they want to continue international rugby, just my own thoughts below. @simonrug knows a lot more about the framework. This is just my view as player.

@pitthams @WalesRugby Maybe, but too simplistic for believers to just state money. ExChiefs not biggest budget in Eur, not even Eng but success. If 20M plus yearly budget and equivalent (inflation) since 2003 produces the standard of rugby of late in Wales there are more rooted issues.
