@Mr_Derivatives 2 accounts. 1 to invest spy/qqq like you noted(or w/e other large ETFs with good diversification) 1 separate account to fuck up until you figure out your personal risk profile and how chance/luck is a huge part of “trading”. And then some T/A F/A experience.

You have the one extremely valuable asset that many in this industry desires. And that is TIME. Starting at 16, you are already ahead most in your age bracket. I would use this time wisely and build good habits investing AND trading. Save up your money and build a core/foundation in SPY/QQQ. Have some fun money to dabble in speculative and yolos. That’s ok. Whatever you do, don’t be like me when I was a teenager, worked my ass off all summer for $3,000 at $10/hr. Went all in a penny stock and lost it all in a heartbeat. Tough tough tough lesson. Ya I can write a whole essay/thesis about this, but that’s a good start.
