@f2harrell I see TTE as a tool like DAG is a tool to identify confounders. I also found weird that they don’t not state more clearly that confounding and other biases should be also considered.

@SPilleron What a weird assumption to make, especially in retrospective studies, which are in the majority of TTE applications. And strange that papers about TTE spend so little space on confounding.

@Evidencebbh C'est surtout que ça n'a strictement rien à foutre dans un dossier médical. En tout cas pour la religion et concernant l'orientation sexuelle c'est seulement si ça a des conséquences médicales.

@SPilleron @barriere_dr Ca prouve juste que la vaccination ne peut pas être reliée à une surmortalité cardiaque. Le résultat attendue aurait pu être "pas de risque supplémentaire". Là c'est encore mieux c'est "baisse de risque". pourquoi cette baisse ? Le fait que les gens vaccinés écoutent leur doc ?

🚨 ALERTE GÉNÉRALE 🚨 La vaccination contre la grippe est associée à… (tenez-vous bien) … moins d’infarctus du myocarde. 😱💉❤️ ≈ 18% de moins chez les vaccinés vs non vaccinés (dans une meta-analyse de ≈ 23,5 millions de personnes). ⚠️ Nuance (parce qu’on est des adultes) : « associée » ≠ « prouve que c’est causal » (les auteurs le disent). La médecine prédictive est en train d’être révolutionnée elle aussi par l’IA. À partir d’une prise de sang, prédire l’apparition de certaines maladies, c’était connu. Mais là on présente une étude qui y parvient … en analysant votre sommeil ! Un moyen aussi d’aborder les problèmes éthiques qui vont très vite se poser à nous … Bonne lecture ! 😊

J’avais couvert cette audience en mars 2024, le fils aîné 13 ans avait témoigné sans huis clos pour dire qu’il était terrifié par son père « qui « le frappait, le plaquait contre le mur et l’étranglait quand il avait mal fait ses devoirs, mal rangé sa chambre ».

Violences parentales : De façon inédite, la @Courdecassation exclut fermement toute idée de « droit de correction parentale ». C'est au nom de ce "droit" qu'un père poursuivi pour violences sur ses enfants fut relaxé. Cette relaxe (lunaire...) est donc annulée & il sera rejugé.
