@JoshLuedeman @CTOAdvisor This reminds me of the old consulting adage, “Cheap, functional, & quick; you can pick two.” It feels like the executive hallucination is the belief that AI will get you all three.

@SQLBalls @CTOAdvisor I look at it as time to value token cost. If I spend 0 tokens and it takes me 5 hours at $100/hr, but I spend $200 in tokens to do it in an hour, that’s a win. The problem is I don’t think a majority of businesses understand how to measure their business to know the ROI of AI

Tokens are the wrong way to measure the value of AI consumption - Period. What's the right measurement? I don't know. I just know that people way smarter than me on capacity management are spending one year's worth of AI budgets in one quarter. And the consistent feedback is that tokens aren't an indication of value.

Great analogy, and not just because I used to own a Prius. The ROI is situational. If I have 3 passengers a Prius works. If I run a business and need to move 40 people the bus is the winner. We are not yet at a level of maturity to be able to accurately analyze ROI for investment beyond simple tasks.

@JoshLuedeman It's why token leaderboards made no sense. A bus will use more gas than a Pirus. Which has a great ROI? I don't know the amount of gas burned is only part of the data needed.

Let's tackle #MicrosoftFabric IQ, we need to start with a tutorial on #Graph. Ontology is built on Graph, understanding Graph will help us use Ontology in the future. Link: youtu.be/N6hkxnuOQ8k @SQLBalls @JoshLuedeman @BradleySchacht @DBABullDog @neeraj_jhaveri
