@itCigNus I get your point, but honestly Melee feels awful at 150–170ms. The teleports and rollbacks become super noticeable, and I feel like the fixed 7 prediction frames might actually be part of why it gets so messy at high ping

@SSBAfro we do have a fix for higher prediction frames and it seems to be helping across the board for a comparison slippi uses 7prediction frames, non adjustable by users.

On rollback, don’t add extra compensation frames you don’t need. Against 150ms ping, 5 total frames (2 delay + 3 rollback) is usually enough. If you dislike teleports, try lowering or adjusting those values instead. Too many rollback frames will just make the game feel worse :)

How long will it take me to move and be as consistent on controller as I am on keyboard? It’s kinda frustrating knowing I could be better on controller while still moving like a CPU sometimes lol

Played some rollback games with @SSBAfro on 2 frames /3 window and besides the micro teleports the game felt good to play. Rather deal with teleports than higher delay or microlag. Crazy for a connection between chicago and chile. Hope to try vs other long distance players!

For the Mortal Kombat 4 community, I am in the process of fixing RMG with support for the games that report missing controllers (Mario Tennis, MK4 etc) Also, fixed FB desyncs for games that require FB Emulation! (Perfect Dark) We should get a build out soon

If you’re using 5 total frames, running 3 delay + 2 compensation will feel smoother, but with more input delay. So, if you want the lowest delay (even with small teleports), use the previous balance.

For Smash 64 rollback, divide the players’ ping by 33. Example: 150 ping ÷ 33 ≈ 4.5 → round to 5 total frames. Split that into delay + compensation (e.g., 2 delay + 3 compensation). For ~170 ping, 3 delay + 3 compensation feels best—lower values feel bad.

@ssbmkysk @pippika3 For example, with people from Argentina or Peru I used to play with 2–3 frames of delay; now with rollback I can play with 0 frames of delay. It’s crazy, plus there are no more desyncs.

@ssbmkysk @pippika3 I mean there were 3 frames of delay, but no lag or interruptions during the match. Normally with Kaillera we’d have around 7 frames of delay with Fray on 150 ping, which would be unplayable. So this is an incredible improvement :)

@ssbmkysk @pippika3 ロールバックを試してみたばかりですが、チリからアメリカのFrayとPing150・3フレーム設定でもラグなくプレイできました。なので、日本国内なら遅延フレームなしでラグもなく遊べると思います :)

I just played with rollback against @JanitorSSB64 with 4 frames of delay and 4 frames of prediction at 180 ping, and it worked super well, he destroyed me lol

Performance for rollback *should* be good enough for netplay now, this is a 200ping test running at 3f delay with minimal performance issues New release in the first comment! PS: Raphnet is still broken but I will fix asap
