@SSN_BallState That’s a good point. Interesting how the Football HC hires have been different last three were two FCS HCs and a NFL position coach.

Your right and we have had 3 Ads who could not be more different all choose the same path. The one thing they all I have in common is use of a search firm

@SSN_BallState There are 3 options at our level for this hire: 1. Assistant from a power 5 level team with no HC experience 2. HC from D2 usually a successful one 3. Bounce back power 5 who just got fired We have taken the assistant the last three hires. All have looked like good hires.

Ball State is working toward hiring SMU assistant Chris Capko as its next head coach, sources told me and @PeteThamel. Capko has worked under Andy Enfield for the last decade at both SMU and USC.
