Tesla just happens to be an extreme case among large cap companies with regards to how much of MC is tied to perpetual beliefs in magic happening in the next two years.
Lose that, and there's no capital to move anywhere.

Having said that, there is no $1.5T capital that can move from Tesla to anywhere else.
Tesla has raised $20b and made a cumulative free cash flow of $25b.
The remaining $1,450b of market cap is made of hopes and dreams.

I just realized why this Iran thing seems so familiar. The people in charge make outlandish claims and outright lies, pumping the stock market up. Then periodically we get actual news from the real world, and stock market goes down. The entire stock market has become Tesla.
