@TheCatchFence @A_A_RON737 I don't think back stretch seats are very logica l in the current climate at most tracks. Very few tracks have back stretch grandstands and turn one-two grandstands of much more appealing due to being able to see parts of pit road and seeing the finish line for most angles.

@A_A_RON737 if it secured a cup date, I think one 20-30 row tall grandstand along the length of the backstretch would be sufficient. Much like it had during the ‘80s-‘90s. This would be comparable to the grandstand capacity at Darlington, Martinsville, Phoenix, etc.

@Angry_Joe46 @bobpockrass For once it’s not necessarily on the start time, it’s more so Rockingham needs money from NC to afford permanent lighting Also it’s Easter weekend, can’t race on Easter Sunday if you can help it

The sunset time is 7:35p ET ... If get to that time and race is still going on (and past end of second stage), there are two laps left (no matter if yellow or green flag laps) in the race once the leader crosses the start-finish line.

@psychedalex68 I don't think it's just the product of the type of the current type of racing. Some of it has to be the track... Many that begged for Rock and N. Wilkes were the same that weren't born yet for the snoozers. Economics wasn't the only reason those two tracks went away. Period...

Another lame ass race not worth watching with 100 laps to go. This garbage year just won't stop.

@Ugochukwustan21 @psychedalex68 Exactly! Days of Thunder propelled it in 1990 and Talladega Nights helped bring it down several notches. The timeline regarding these two movies is absolutely incredible!..

@psychedalex68 Reputational damage due to being perceived as a sport for idiots and rednecks. People love Talladega Nights but it did a serious number on the perception of the sport. Same thing happened with pro wrestling around the same time.

What really is to blame for the downfall? My personal opinion is a combination of the COT and Jimmie Johnson's vanilla dominance. The sport was on a major high and all of sudden you a boxy piece of shit with a wing and one guy winning in what was proven just Knaus grey area cars.
Peyton@TowryPeyton

If only we could time travel back to the early-mid 2000’s when the discussion for most popular sport in America was between the NFL and the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing

It’s final four or bust yet again for the Tennessee Vols. Let’s get some good karma going by naming a random Tennessee Vol basketball player from your childhood. I’ll start. Doug. Roth!

@RobergRacing Literally THE last thing the team needs to do considering how behind they are on most oval... Marks admitted a few years ago that it drains resources/engineers from the other main teams. The team isn't CLOSE to the performance of 2022 and might not get close again....

@spraker707 @CZsRubberDucky @TeamTrackhouse Yes, exactly. People can get confused by it, but they mention this at times during the broadcasts and it can sometimes cause very misleading practice times... This also likely plays a factor why top Toyota teams seem to have slow practice times and then dominate qualifying...

@CZsRubberDucky @TeamTrackhouse Well he was in the first group for practice so a clean track helped his time and then going out early in qualifying after practice probably had him picking up some rubber which hurt his lap.

@shirtmedium21 @psychedalex68 I highly doubt it... The TriCon Garage guy said in a comment on their post that it was NASCAR saying that the gray gradient background blended too much with the chrome number. Hamlin's scheme looked the same so not sure what, if any, NASCAR guidelines have changed since 2019.

@shirtmedium21 @psychedalex68 Technically Hamlin ran the #11 in the same font, but agree there's a slim chance to none Waltrip has this scheme copyrighted. Not only that, if they had to change up something on the scheme it wouldn't be just the foil/chrome. It would be the font and not the chrome... 😂

@nascarattendan @Fluggswashere @Daniel_SuarezG Why would unsponsored races mean having K1 Speed? I could be completely wrong, but everything I could find shows that the Marks family(Dad) didn't have any investment in K1 and if they did you would think Marks would have a K1 Speed location partnered with Trackhouse somehow...

@Fluggswashere @Daniel_SuarezG I heard that for track houses first year they where just going to put pump it up/k1 speed on cars with no sponsorship sorta like front row motorsports and long John silvers, but trackhouse was able to get enough sponsors for the entire season

@gcstocky @TeamTrackhouse @thirstythrees Chastain was running in the top ten, outperforming the #88 and the #97 when the pit crew fumbled away another solid finish but keep pushing the narrative. It does truly matter right now because all three teams see mostly lost on traditional ovals anyway...

@InnocuousGrant @MattWeaverRA You mean literally run to him to grab him before he has a chance to take his helmet and HANS device off so he can THEN grab the back of his HANS device to help pull him to the ground? Could be interesting I guess......

@rgthenascarfan @DominickPrater @BrakeHardBlog What are you trying to prove here? He never punched McDowell and only grabbed his HANS device to try to horse collar him. McDowell lost his balance. Then a little argument with Newman? Comical... How about the actual three examples you could use of Chastain? Including Sunday...
