@MrPitbull07 Yes, you had to pay extra for the service. That is why people stopped using those full service gas stations. Now it's all self serve.

My daughter laughs at me and says it never happened! Am I the only one who remembers how gas station attendants would not only pump your gas but wash your windshield?

@MrPitbull07 and check your oil, top off your wiper fluid, yes it happened up through the 1980's and early 1990's in some places. I know of one gas station that still pumps but they add on ten cents a gallon and do not do the other tasks.
