We need to invest more in the trades and career and technical education.  Let’s all recognize that it is just as important, valuable, and impressive to become an electrician, welder or EMT as it is to go to Stanford, Dartmouth or Harvard.

@TimOLeary_VT I just went through all this in Dec. and arrived at the Asus. It has top end specs without paying name recognition. And it meets military durability so backpack haul is viable.

@TimOLeary_VT Correct. Basically if you have any plan to use it with vr or heavy graphics software the 1650 gcard in the xps will leave you short on performance, and all but the $2474 xps is short on processing. Need touchscreen?

@TimOLeary_VT I'm on the 17". A bit big for conferences (what are those?) but it's the most mobile workstation out there, esp w/ Xeon upgrade.

@bhrenton Excellent, and proud to have you in our @Middlebury community. Have you looked at total cases as a ratio of population density, and over time? The hypothesis being states/counties with higher density should have higher cases and visa versa.

We have all seen the chart of cumulative Covid-19 cases by state partisanship, but after running the numbers I cannot find any way where it would make sense to discount cases from March-June. This chart serves the same purpose but includes from March. public.flourish.studio/visualisation/…
