River Valley Technical Center held its Advisory Committee Meeting today, uniting 60+ educators and industry pros to support career and technical education. After breakfast at River Valley Café, Superintendent Scott Farr welcomed attendees, followed by remarks from Amanda Sidler.

River Valley Technical Center's Introduction to Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering students took their first spins on the Kent TRL-1340 lathes this morning! Turns, get it? Because lathes... turn? Yeah, we went there!

River Valley RADs are hosting the Inaugural VEX V5 Tournament, Vermont's ONLY VEX V5 Tournament in 2025 at Springfield High School today, from 9 am to 3 pm. A big shout out and thank you to the sponsors of the River Valley RAD's!!! Come check it out!

We are thankful that Boston Federal Reserve President Susan Collins took time to speak with students at the River Valley Technical Center’s Business and Entrepreneurship Program, as part of her trip to Vermont and meeting with the Springfield Working Communities Team!

A big thank you to Eric Lafayette, Project Manager for Energy Efficient Investments who presented to the the River Valley Technical Center’s Industrial Trades Level I. Eric talked to the students about his career path, his work EEI Inc., growth and future of the company.
