Our Public Work crews never stop in their efforts to improve our community! This week, our crews improved roadways and drainage as well as conducted grass cutting and litter pickup across St. Tammany.

The Tammany Trace Bridge over the Abita River will be replaced with a new, sturdier $1.585 million bridge. Construction will begin on March 30 with the area from Gordon Ave. to the Abita Springs Trailhead being closed. The bridge is anticipated to be completed by late 2026.

Our Public Works crews go the extra mile to maintain our roadways, as in 1,600 miles! Whether its repairing a pot hole or improving your drainage, our crews ensure our 4,569 roads stay in shape!

The replacement of the U.S. 11 Overpass in Slidell over the Norfolk Southern Railroad tracks has advanced with a $10 million federal allocation through Community Project Funding secured by Congressman Steve Scalise, Parish President Mike Cooper announced Tuesday.

The NWS confirmed that two EF-0 tornadoes with speeds around 75 mph touched down in St. Tammany Wednesday night. Thankfully, no one was injured!

Parish crews worked through the night following the severe weather. Many trees were downed, including this one off of Bennett Bridge Road. Thanks to our team who worked to serve our citizens overnight!
