@JDWilliams23 @McFeely_Inforum YSU joined in '97, but I'd have to look up exactly when their championships were.
Looks like YSU won in '91, '93, '94, and '97, so just their last championship counts for the MVFC/Gateway. That year they actually finished 3rd in the conference behind UNI and my Leathernecks.

@McFeely_Inforum Are you counting Gateway as MVFC ? Southern Illinois in 1983 for sure. And Western Kentucky 2002 if you count Gateway. Not sure when Youngstown joined.

Western Kentucky is at the top of my FBS wishlist. With UMASS prioritizing football, any other A10 programs that would like to follow suit are more than welcome in the MAC, too.

@on3 @andystaples Just go ahead and make it 32 teams each for 64 total. Divide each "conference" into 4 groups of 8 teams each. Winners of each group plus 4 highest-ranked at-large go into a 12-team playoff like what next year's is supposed to be.

@PokemonBurner1 @hansilowang In some cases they can, but not everywhere. LA County in CA has just under 10 million people, Cook in Illinois has a bit over 5 million. Currently, each house district has about 761k people, so you'd need multiple districts in those and other large counties.

@AM_Beardsley I think Google Fi only uses the T-Mobile network, which I've heard has not-great service in our area. I'm on a Verizon MVNO and have pretty solid service, even in the middle of yesterday's storm (streaming weather news in my basement over cell service).

@SamHerderFCS @Bwahlberg Seeding top 16 would fix issues like in 2017 when #9 Western Illinois had to go on the road to play #11 Weber State in the first round. Both were unseeded and had to play each other, despite them being probably the two best unseeded teams in the playoffs.

@Bwahlberg But if you’re a 17-24 team in the field, you should be on the road in the first round playing teams 9-16. But a MVFC/Big Sky team is going to be ranked higher than teams from those conferences most of the time anyway

Update: The committee has recommended seeding the top 16 teams in the 24-team bracket moving forward. It still has a couple of approvals to go through this month, including the Football Oversight Committee. The hope is by the end of June there will be more concrete news/details
