The 2026 #StandUpToCancer Scientific Summit featured an innovation summit on childhood and adult gliomas, including #glioblastoma. Despite decades of research, survival rates are still very low. But recent research insights and promising results from small clinical trials have created a sense of momentum. This summit brought leading experts and other stakeholders in the glioma space to formulate a blueprint for transforming that momentum into meaningful improvements in treatment and survival. Speaking at the @AACR AM 2026 plenary session on early-onset cancers, Dr. Andrew T. Chan from @MassGenBrigham and @harvardmed described new work from Team Prospect, a multi-institutional effort spanning three continents, detailing risk factors for early-onset #CRC. #AACR26

Speaking on Sunday at #AACR26, Dr. Yelena Janjigian of @MSKCancerCenter gave a presentation on the current treatment landscape for resectable gastric/gastroesophageal cancers. #StandUpToCancer and Torrey Coast Foundation have forged a partnership to accelerate breakthroughs in gastroesophageal cancer, and Dr. Janjigian stressed the efficacy and importance of neoadjuvant chemoimmunotherapy in people with resectable disease. The point has come, she said, where “we’re talking about the possibility of cure.”
