At Med #GrandRounds @nyugrossman today, Neil Vasan, MD, PhD, Assistant Professor of Medicine, Co-Leader of the Cancer Cell Biology Program, and Director of Breast Cancer Translational Research @Perlmutter_CC, delivered an enlightening talk on targeting the PI3K–AKT–mTOR pathway in breast cancer. He examined how the PI3K pathway activation drives ER+ metastatic breast cancer, discussed the evolution of PI3K/AKT/mTOR inhibitors and biomarker strategies, and highlighted emerging ctDNA- and resistance-guided approaches shaping the next generation of trials.
