@Adeafguy @Pirat_Nation That's not why, as you can get multiple terabyte sticks. NAND games require you to write the files once every 10 years or so, to recharge the cells. If you leave it on the shelf, it doesn't get recharged (á la nintendo cartridges) Some disk types get double that before they rot

PlayStation fans are planning a “PS5 Blackout” after Sony announced it will stop releasing games on physical discs in 2028. The idea is simply not to play, buy or log in on your PS5 for one week in August. Fans hope that if enough people join, Sony will notice the drop in activity and rethink its decision.
