Can't blame VAR there... 100% an error by the on-field referee. I can see why he thought it may have been accidentally (touches thigh first) but Mbeumo clearly pins the ball with his arm - that's deliberate handball. Another one for Webb to apologise for 😆 #MUNNFO

🗣️ Brilliant from Dougie Critchley on if Bruno Fernandes should win the PFA Premier League POTS award: “Yeah, absolutely. I mean, I think some people say, Man United have had so few games, they haven't played in Europe, but neither did Kante when he won it in 2017. “Neither did Mahrez. Neither did Luis Suarez when he won it. “And, he hasn't, of course, won the league this year. But nine of the last 16 PFA Player of the Years haven't won the league. “I don't think it's actually imperative. And this guy has created the most chances in the entirety of Europe. And the last player to create more in the premier league season was Kevin de Bruyne in 2019/20 and he didn't win the league that year either. And he was named PFA Player of the Year. “So, I think exceptional performance is just exceptional performance and he has been brilliant.” [via Sky Sports Football | TikTok]

🗣️ “Leave the football before the football leaves you.” 'This brutal verdict on Casemiro’s display that night – and his contribution up until that point in his Manchester United career – has been thrown back at me with increasing regularity and even some amusement this season, particularly as he edges closer to his United exit' In retrospect, does @Carra23 regret his comments about such a legendary footballer? Because he’s not had to juggle 4 competitions. Nobody thinks Carrick can win Man United the title, which is what they aspire to be doing. It’s OGS 2.0 and I can see it ending badly. Would any other title aspiring team hire him?
Rory Jennings ⭐ ⭐@Chelsearory

Nobody has accumulated more points in the Premier League than Michael Carrick since he arrived. He’s qualified for the Champions League with games to spare, he’s beaten Liverpool, Arsenal and Man City, he’s got Mainoo playing well, the Stretford End bouncing again, how can he not get the job?

Congratulations to Bruno Fernandes voted Football Writers' Association Footballer of the Year. Superb for Manchester United in a tough season. I voted Declan Rice for driving Arsenal to within touching distance now of the Premier League & Champions League. The game’s about glory.

@RantwithDK @BigJakeCLE @NUCLRGOLF @BrysonLegion He’s not right. Others will come back to the PGA and he won’t be missed and he will start failing in the majors more without competitive golf and his legacy slowly erodes.

Considering YouTube golf is growing faster than any other digital golf product it’s likely he will do better staying there. But that doesn’t matter. He’s a major winner and cemented in Golf history. But, go back and read his quotes. He doesn’t want sympathy. He’s simply saying the PGA needs him more than he needs the PGA. And he’s right

🚨👀⛳️ #BREAKING — Bryson DeChambeau says he is prepared to pursue his YouTube channel’s growth and compete in tournaments “that want me” if LIV Golf folds, adding that he has had conversations with the PGA Tour. “I think, from my perspective, I'd love to grow my YouTube channel three times, maybe even more.” “I'd love to do a bunch of dubbing in different languages, giving the world more reason to watch YouTube. And then I'd love to play tournaments that want me.” He admitted that the potential penalties he would face from the PGA Tour would be “quite unfortunate in my opinion, considering what I could do for them.” “I was completely shocked (on PlF pullout), I didn't expect it to happen. A couple months before that, it's like, 'We're here until 2032. We've got financing until 2032, and so I told everybody, and that's what I was told.” “And then, you know, I haven't had any communication. And unfortunately, things are moving on in a different direction. Obviously, they wanted to move.” "There's a few different models (on LIV future). Look, the PGA Tour isn't doing great either. Let's be honest about the situation. They've got the media.” “They've got everybody on the side that helps pump it up. But they're reducing field sizes, cutting employees, and restructuring their business too.” @BrysonLegion (Via: @espn)

Well done to Carrick for what he has done at Man Utd. I am sure INEOS will do what they always do, and that's make the easy choice. I would rather see a more serious manager appointed, because the hierarchy are clowns. Another Ole few years incoming... #MUFC

Gabriel should have been sent off for violent conduct during Arsenal’s loss to Manchester City in April, the Premier League’s key match incidents panel has found. In the 82nd minute, with the league leaders chasing the game, the defender was pushed by Erling Haaland and the pair had a head-to-head altercation. As they parted, Gabriel appeared to push the striker with his head. Referee Anthony Taylor gave each player a yellow card following the incident, and video assistant referee (VAR) John Brooks did not intervene. The Premier League’s KMI panel is an independent body introduced in the 2022-23 season that reviews critical match incidents in the referee’s jurisdiction. The panel ruled by a majority of 3:2 that Gabriel’s actions warranted a red card for violent conduct, due to his extra head movement, according to sources with knowledge of the outcome. 🔗 nyti.ms/4cXgBPn

Arsenal ground staff requested UEFA to measure the length of grass at Atletico Madrid, believing it was too long. It was determined the grass was 26 millimetres, below the limit. ❌ What even is this club 😭😭😭

Maybe getting the opportunity to play Augusta National unlimited times the month leading into The Masters, while skipping three straight tournaments, gave Rory McIlroy an unfair advantage over the other competitors… Just maybe. Congrats, or whatever.
