Son was at a birthday party today for a buddy. It was at a cool soccer facility. 8 year old Kids Vs parents was the final game. I dominated out there. Goal and two helpers. Heel flicks, nutmegs, big shoulder to shoulder challenges….

@patersonjeff @Ethereal_JT Totally agree. Puck around the board ad always seems to happen when the real puck is ringing around the boards, I think we are being trolled. The Oris watch ad is especially bad as well, it has to go.

@Ethereal_JT I wish league would mandate static ads only. The animated ones with trucks and pucks flying around the boards are so offside in my mind

@Lukeantrim @andrewwadden @passittobulis Yes, even take this a step further. If the coach chooses penalty shot, any player on the team is eligible to take the shot.

@andrewwadden @passittobulis Give the coach of choice, choose the penalty shot or a two minute minor. So, if the best players on the ice, and you feel like you can score, you get to choose penalty shot, if you’ve got your 4th liners on. You can choose minor. Its simple.

The penalty shot is the dumbest rule in hockey. If the player misses, there should be a power play afterwards.

@RJHenderson7 Rutherford & co. are no better than mercenaries. No connection to this franchise, it seems like they couldn't care less what happens here.

It still remains incredible to me that a hockey hall of famer and someone as well respected as Jim Rutherford would allow the #Canucks organization to become looked upon so badly throughout the hockey world. Like what could possibly be the method to this madness with Boudreau.

We won two major awards this weekend. One for novel writing, one for TV writing. This is definitely the point where our hubris brings down a plague from god on us. Come get me locusts. I'm ready.

Our yard is filled with these giant grasshoppers right now. Massive. Their takeoff and landing noise is like one decibel quieter than a Blackhawk taking off. Glad we don't have a garden yet because these beasts probably one-shot a tomato.
