As previously stated, Hamonic currently does not have a cap hit: in this situation where the player takes a leave of absence, and the team isn't paying their salary, the player has no cap hit for the duration. For cap purposes this is the same as Suspended Without Pay.

We lost our dear friend and colleague Ted Wyman to cancer this morning. Ted fought so hard and wanted so badly to give the public good news. Really, he wanted to get back to work.

Brannstrom's waiver exempt clock is 30 days total on the NHL roster and 10 NHL games. Has 10 days on the roster and played 4 games. If he plays every game, his 10th game will be against the Oilers on Nov. 9th. There are 13 days between tomorrow and that game.
