Having some surgery today - those who do, I’d love your prayers.
My family are very amused that the first things I packed were books and post surgery chocolate! Nothing if not on brand…
@jemimalaing@shekinahcharity Glad you enjoyed it and thank you for coming. I am the accompanist for the Tamar Concert Choir.
Hope we made a lot of money for Shekinah 🤞
What a fantastic evening listening to the brilliant Tamar Concert Choir who were performing at Pilgrim United Reform Church to raise money for @shekinahcharity
Loved the choice of songs. Thank you to Eric and Jean for the invitation. A really lovely evening 🎼
It’s been the toughest 24 hours of my life, and the last thing I wanted was to leave bed
But I pushed myself, got out the house, and managed @parkrunUK - so proud of myself!
Over the weekend, the Abbey Choir recorded an album of music for Corpus Christi, including Martin Baker’s newly commissioned Missa O sacrum convivium! Follow @Adfontesrecords for updates in advance of its release next year.
Phew! I remembered just in time that I needed to plug my iPad in to charge. I’m really going to upset people now but I use it to read my order of service from at the altar on Sundays. I have the hymns, collects and readings inserted into the correct place so no scraps of paper
First job? Get up that bell tower and find out why the bell is muffled... worth the climb for the stunning views... but failed to break into the bell tower as the door is ceased shut. Now to return with better tools (crowbar).
On Good Friday at 19:00, a schola of the Abbey Choir sings a sequence of Passiontide music to accompany the Seven Last Words from the Cross. The Seven Last Words are Jesus’ final sayings as he hung dying on the Cross, which appear in the Gospel. All welcome.
