It was a busy and productive past week for @shedrackw and I @MJAPUg, to offer tech support for interprofessional HIV care and qual improvement @ several clinics in Lesotho last week, under the @StripeHiv program @IGHSatUCSF. The absence of #USAID support is obviously visible.

Through interprofesional education and practice, performance gaps can be closed through application of CQI approaches. Teams @kidera HCIV, @Kamuli hospital, @buwenge HC IV Jinja District and Walukuba HC IV Jinja City have demonstrated this during our past 2days mentorships

Today, with @CDCgov and @Reachoutmbuya teams we held a learning visit to Kiruddu Hospital to understand how the teams are conducting service delivery to #HIV patients during the #stopworkorder

Following the US presidential executive order to suspend HIV work, we @MJAPUg ISS clinic have struggled to maintain some care through voluntary services. I have been humbled by our patients who took it upon themselves to clean up the clinic premises this morning 👏

𝟤𝟢𝟤𝟦 𝖠𝖿𝗋𝗂𝖼𝖺 𝗥𝖾𝗀𝗂𝗈𝗇𝖺𝗅 𝖯𝗿𝖤𝖯 𝗖𝗈𝗇𝖿𝖾𝗋𝖾𝗇𝖼𝖾-𝖭𝖺𝗂𝗋𝗈𝖻𝗂 We are among the few selected implementing partners representing Uganda at the 2024 Africa regional PREP conference in Nairobi. The conference is geared towards providing global updates on new pre-exposure prophylaxis (#PrEP) products, including regulatory approvals and their status in national guidelines.
