@David4BKH Hi David can you make sure that they know delivering the LTN is a full priority and how much we have suffered on Institute Road among others on East Side

Congratulations to Jordan and Hamzah who won last week's election to represent Brandwood and Kings Heath ward. Commiserations to my ward partner of 4 years @LisaTrickett41, her running mate Ben and the other candidates who spoke kindly of me during the campaign.
Thank you to everyone who supported my road safety survey on Colmore Road. We have collected a lot of evidence and shown the community's strength of feeling that the school street is not working without enforcement. I will report back when I receive a response from the Council.
This morning I conducted a road safety survey at Colmore Junior and Infants schools. Over 150 people illegally drove through the school street in under 45 minutes, and dozens more drove or parked dangerously.
🚨 Update on the Kings Heath Local Centre Scheme.
The Council's appointed contractor, Parade Civil Engineering Ltd, will commence works on Monday 2nd February 2026, with construction expected to last up to 4 weeks.
You can read about the plans here: birminghambeheard.org.uk/economy/kheath…
Over the next month, the Council will be removing trees at the following locations due to decay, disease, and structural issues. However, we are committed to replacing every tree. Our qualified planting officers will assess each area to establish whether it is suitable for a tree
I’ve met families who have lost loved ones in road collisions and their stories are devastating.
Today's strategy is a clear sign the government is taking road safety seriously - just like we are in the West Midlands with Vision Zero: our mission to make sure everyone can travel safely, no matter how they get around.
@David4BKH@LisaTrickett41@LizClements@bhamconnected Hi David, how are we looking for the plans and timings for east of the High Street? To say we are fed up is an understatement and the traffic, road rage and speeding is getting worse on Institute. Feels like we are being left behind. Thanks for all you do for us.
Birmingham City Council has announced its proposals for improvements to the LTN on the West Side of Kings Heath High Street.

I’m pleased to report we have a timeline for Phase 2 of the Low Traffic Neighbourhood scheme. In chronological order, the measures will be designed and delivered through four separate packages as follows:
@nxwestmidlands Any idea when you are going to electrify the buses on 50 and 35 route? They currently add noise and pollution to #KingsHeath high street. Thanks.
@LisaTrickett41@David4BKH It's a tiny minority Lisa, you will see how well you and @David4BKH are supported by the vast majority at the next election. Keep your head up
Sorry the Ward meeting had to be abandoned & that residents/BCC staff experienced aggression. @David4BKH and I welcome challenge but regrettably a few individuals have consistently misrepresented the facts and sought to turn the community in on itself. They will not win.
