A council has ordered 2 apartment blocks in South East London to be demolished for breaching planning conditions - despite tenants having already moved in. The £36 million Mast Quay development in Woolwich is 'substantially different' to the approved plans, Greenwich Council said. The developer plans to appeal.

I remember that election in 2010. Everyone said @AjayHMaru couldn't win, but he pushed on, and won. The campaigning skills needed to take a seat from the tories is something the #Labour candidate in Harrow East needs. Ajay has that and more. He's the candidate we need!

As Leader of the Council I ruled out the Greenhill Way site for new civic centre,as it's not suitable. As you say site should be used for leisure/hospitality. There is also great potential for resi development too. How many people will miss out on housing because of this decision

Harrow Council’s ruling Conservatives are planning to build a new Council Chamber on the Debenhams/Greenhill Way car park; a site that could be used for a new theatre and/or leisure centre; both of which wld benefit the borough far more than a special Golden Palace for Cllrs
