Honoured to have represented PTC Industries and Aerolloy Technologies at the opening of Blue Origin's International Headquarters in Luxembourg this week. Blue Origin carries one of the most audacious visions in human history - a future where millions of people live and work in space, not just as an end in itself, but to preserve and sustain Earth, our blue origin. This is a civilisational bet on humanity's future, and one that deserves nothing but admiration. To be even a small part of this journey is humbling. The evening featured addresses by the Prime Minister of Luxembourg and the US Ambassador, both speaking about Luxembourg's emergence as a hub for the global space economy. I had the privilege of meeting and speaking with Dave Limp, CEO of Blue Origin, and Tim Collins, VP – Supply Chain & Logistics. In our conversations, both spoke about the complexity of large investment castings in titanium and superalloys, and how challenging they are to get right. Coming from people who are pushing the very frontier of what humans can build and achieve, it was a deeply affirming conversation, and a reminder of why very few organisations in the world operate in this space, and why those who do, matter. We are building that capability - with conviction, and conversations like these remind us exactly why. Proud of the path we have chosen. Proud of the people walking it with us. What lies ahead is bigger than anything we have done before. 🚀 #BlueOrigin #Aerolloy #PTCIndustries #SpaceEconomy #TitaniumCastings #SuperalloyCastings #MakeInIndia #Luxembourg #AerospaceMaterials

𝗔 𝗛𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗰 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗧𝗖 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀! 🚀 Aerolloy Technologies, a subsidiary of PTC Industries, has achieved a momentous feat by becoming 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘆 to commission a Vacuum Arc Remelting (VAR) furnace and produce aerospace-grade Titanium alloy ingots. This positions Aerolloy among the 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗳𝗲𝘄 𝗴𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗲𝘀 with the capability to produce Titanium alloys for critical aerospace and defence applications. With an impressive 𝗮𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗺𝗲𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝟭,𝟱𝟬𝟬 𝗠𝗧 and the ability to produce ingots up to 1,000 mm in diameter and 10 MT in weight, this technological leap bridges a critical gap in India's manufacturing capabilities. The ability to produce aerospace grade Titanium alloys places Aerolloy in a select group of global companies. This achievement marks a major stride towards India's self-reliance in strategic materials and brings us closer to our aim of achieving 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆, as it eliminates the country’s dependency on imports for aerospace-grade Titanium alloys. Aerolloy Technologies is now well-positioned to meet global demand, while driving innovation and reinforcing India’s leadership in advanced manufacturing. A proud moment for Aerolloy, PTC Industries, and India! 🇮🇳 Read the full update here: lnkd.in/gRD5Cq8Y @jimcollinsimm

This is a momentous occasion for India and US defence manufacturing trade, with signing of SOSA. This can help in making this defence relationship a two way street. However, to maximise the potential of Indian defence exports to US, signing of RDP agreement is an imperative.

Two important documents have been signed in Washington DC as Raksha Mantri Shri @rajnathsingh’s visit to the United States begins. Senior defence officials from both the sides concluded the Security of Supplies Arrangement (SOSA), and Memorandum of Agreement regarding the Assignment of Liaison Officers.

@Trinhnomics This kind of thought and writing comes from “visionaries” like these and other such “Raghus” who are entirely disconnected from ground reality. Anyone who suggests an economy of 1.45 Ben people can “skip” manufacturing is living in LaLa land, and is masquerading as an economist

Yikes, another article on India skipping manufacturing and doing more services. How is India going to create jobs to absorb agrarian employment if many of those people are not high-skilled? Services is HIGH-SKILLED & already highly formalized. ft.com/content/346403…

A defining statement by Hon’ble Raksha Mantri. “It should not be, that while equipment & platforms are made in India, the components are imported & all we do in the name of indigenisation is mere assembly. We are watchful of this, & will not allow this “ghaplebaazi” anymore.” 1/2
