VCU vs North Carolina… Richmond, Virginia loses $63 million a year in revenue because the most valuable real estate in the city is tax-exempt. Most of it belongs to VCU and VCU Health. VCU Health generates $3.54 billion in annual revenue. It agreed to make $56 million in property tax payments to the city over 25 years as part of a development deal. The development failed. VCU Health paid a $73 million exit fee. Then the state legislature passed budget language directing VCU Health to stop making the $2 million annual tax payments to the city. The mayor of Richmond said pursuing the money was “not in the city’s best interest” because he did not want to “burn bridges” with VCU or the General Assembly. There is a term in economics for what happens when a party with no leverage negotiates with a party that controls its funding. It is not called negotiation.

@SenMikeLee @JoChandler45859 @SenJonHusted I am fully convinced, FULLY CONVINCED, that the only way Democrats get elected is if they cheat. It’s not a conspiracy theory. It’s a fact. Illegals are voting and they are helping Democrats win. Full stop. They SHOW US EVERY SINGLE DAY!!!!! Start believing them.

Chuck Schumer and other Democrats have insisted that they actually support Voter ID—they just object to other parts of the SAVE America Act. Well, @SenJonHusted just asked unanimous consent to pass ONLY the Voter ID portion of the bill. Democrats blocked it.

Imagine an entire region of the world blaming the meteoric success of a small and ancient minority for its abject failures. The Islamic Republic made the eschatological destruction of Jews its very constitution, yet this shameless region clutches its pearls when those same Jews take to the skies with unparalleled might to bring this zealous evil to an end. After nearly half a century of harassment and mass murder there are few in Israel who do not recognize this war’s necessity. Qatar, Turkey and Pakistan, their useful idiots in Europe and the international media, cry and cry harder the lot of you but by god Israel will tear the Islamic Republic to the ground and free its people if ever there was a shred of justice in this world.

TY for this important post Nawfal is a sophisticated Jew hater who opened the floodgates of israel bashing and Antisemitism on X Spaces that he started in 10/7/23 while the Hamas slaughtering was being gleefully live-streamed to the world He chose Ahmed Sulaiman ( a coarser version) as he s cohost .. The biggresg Jew hating accounts were platformed daily for months -with Nawfal as the orchestrator Nawfal regularly interviews the worst anti Jew anti American ppl he can find On a rare occasion he will talk to a Jewish zionist (@mdubowitz -a terrific account) ) to try to give the very thin veneer of being neutral Beware of Mario Nawfal The pressing question-why does Elon Musk prop up Nawfal ???

Two examples, both left Lebanon and moved to the West: •Gad Saad @GadSaad left Lebanon with his family out of fear for their lives. As Lebanese Jews, they were targets and had to flee to survive. He found safety in the West, built a successful career, and has used his voice to defend the system and values that gave him that opportunity. •Mario Nawfal, @MarioNawfal on the other hand, left Lebanon as a child with his family in search of a better future, not under immediate threat. Yet today, he uses his platform to undermine the same Western system that enabled his success, promoting narratives aligned with the Iranian regime against the U.S., a regime that has fueled anti-Western hostility and supported militant groups across Lebanon, Iraq, Syria, and Yemen. Two people from the same country. Two different paths. Two opposite outcomes. One chose to defend the system that protected him. The other uses that same system to attack it. That contrast says a lot about the two faces- and consequences - of immigration.

With a full heart, I’m sharing that my brother welcomed a baby boy into the world. His wife had to give birth in a hospital shelter, underground, with no reception. We couldn’t reach him for hours and didn’t know what was happening. He later told me that as she was in labor, sirens were going off nonstop, and they could hear explosions above them… and in the middle of all that, their baby was born. A true “war baby.” Thank G-d the baby is healthy, the mother is safe, and everyone is okay. My heart is full of gratitude I just wish this moment could have been peaceful.

A physician pays $85,000 a year in malpractice premiums. The insurer keeps 40 cents of every dollar as profit and float. A captive structure would return that money to the physicians who funded it. Legal in all 50 states. The hospital down the street has had one since 2004. 99% of physicians have never heard of the phrase captive.

I agree that rage doesn’t teach that doesn’t mean the anger isn’t justified I would love to read your tshuvah To claim to be the only true guardians of Torah scholarship and way of life without presenting a Torah Halachic argument is their Achilles Heel -there must be away to put them on the defensive instead They have been allowed to control the discussion -and have largely been successful keeping ppl talking about the history and their grievances -putting everyone else on the defense -“ we love Torah too-we have Gedolei Torah too “ the best defense is an offense( non angrily ofc) The People of Israel should ask/demand to see a written Halachic Tshuvah by a certain date from their Rabbinic leaders The most important thing is to show their rank and file that sadly they have been misled lomdus is lomdus regardless of what kind of kippah or hat one wears How to non angrily reach this large somewhat diverse number of Jewish People -who are seceding from the tzibbur and are haughty and self righteous about it Painful in the extreme and yes angering -a Chilul Hashem Please DM me your Tshuvah if you don’t mind and Thank you for your essay and your thoughtful response to my comment שבת שלום ומבורך

@SacksDisa @ZoharAtkins fire. righteous fire. if you think defending b'nei yisrael is milchemet rishus and not milchemet mitzvah, you are in a different religion altogether. and if you agree that its milchemet mitzvah, you have an obligation to do the will of HKBH.

As you may have seen, the Los Angeles Times recently published an article titled: “UC Jewish community paints disparate pictures of campus antisemitism” latimes.com/california/sto… The article creates the impression that Jewish faculty are sharply divided over the DOJ’s finding that UCLA is “engaging in a hostile work environment against Jewish and Israeli faculty and staff”: sites.google.com/view/ucla-jewi… The immediate trigger for the article was a letter circulated by a fringe Zionophobic group calling itself “UCLA Jewish Faculty and Staff”, who claim that the DOJ's findings on hostile work environment are non-existent sites.google.com/view/ucla-jewi… In that letter, the group tries to leverage understandable concerns about DOJ lawsuits and funding cuts to justify, perpetuate --—or at least downplay—the antizionist hostility and discriminatory practices we have all been witnessing on campus. To give a sense of how far removed this group is from the mainstream of Jewish faculty on campus: none of its 130 signatories are members of the Faculty Forum that I run, which includes over 400 faculty committed to the preservation of Israel as a Jewish and democratic state. At the same time, because we have not issued a collective statement to the DOJ, our own perspective and strength remain largely invisible. This creates a real risk that UCLA leadership—including Chancellor Frenk and UC President Milliken—may come away with a misleading impression of where the broader Jewish faculty community stands. I therefore hope that the UCLA Jewish Faculty Resilience Group (JFRG) will write a separate public letter to the DOJ, based on the extensive documentation compiled by the UCLA Task Force on Antisemitism and Anti-Israeli Bias (2024): jfrg.org/advocacy/uclas… The letter should propose to the DOJ and the UC administration a concrete program that addresses antizionist hostilities on the one hand while respecting academic freedom on the other. @AkaLazarus @JFrgatUCLA @DavidSuissaJJ @LekhtNaya @adam_louis52328 @AndrewPessin
