I screwed up big time. The internet has been right basically since the beginning, and it's taken me multiple waves of self reflection and internal fighting to get to the point where I can fully admit fault without holding back. I lied to the internet, repeatedly. I cheated, and betrayed the trust of countless people that believed in me. Viewers, family, friends. Everyone. Myself. I carry a lot of baggage, and you all got exposed to it in the worst way. I lied directly to @danielrensch. I lied directly to @WolfeyGlick and used him as a prop on stream. He didn't deserve that. None of you did. I messaged him directly to apologize, and I'll gladly do it on stream, too. I've spent a big part of my life being really good at games. When I suddenly wasn't good enough, I lied. Between games while waiting, they said to be sure to only have one Chess.com window open. So I was playing games against a computer on my other monitor using lichess.org where my chat window usually is to practice between rounds. Once I blundered my queen, I panicked. I used the analysis feature there and my brain couldn't stop after that. I figured out the lines, but every time I panicked after that, I did it again. It wasn't something that I planned on doing. I really did practice quite a bit leading up to the event. People kept asking me why I did it - I think I did it for a false sense of self validation. To convince myself that I could win when clearly I shouldn't have. It was disrespectful to the entire online chess community. I was stupid enough to not even considering the consequences of what I was doing. And I accept those consequences now, because I deserve it. I understand that people are going to question everything in my career now. I don't blame them. I was the guy that vocally hated people who cheated in video games, Tarkov is riddled with it. And I did the most hypocritical thing I could do. I talked about mental health on stream yesterday morning because that stuff is very real for me. I'm restarting therapy this afternoon, I found someone through Sondermind that was available almost immediately, which was nice. I clearly have a problem with honesty to myself and those that care about me. It sucks that it took something like this to blow up in my face, but I'm hoping that it results in me finally fixing problems with myself that I've had for years. I'm sorry. To everyone. My friends and family. People that watch me. Anyone that I associate with. I betrayed your trust. I hope one day people can forgive me, and I understand if they can't. I hope one day I can forgive myself, too. I'm typically pretty hard on myself.

A follow up to my tweet yesterday: I explained my thoughts on live account prop trading and want to hear your thoughts. Why would you pay higher pro data fees and taxes for a live account when you could pay less on a personal? As of now there is no incentives I see as worth it. What do you feel like you are being offered that is worth it vs just trading a personal account if you get moved to live prop account? I’m talking real money implications for the trader. Not some “make it cool” ego push for the trader. Curious to hear and maybe some props will be able to see some feedback for making their programs better. I want to be clear, I am very for prop firms. I think they offer great tools for newer traders needing money and for different types of risks for older traders. Not bashing purely shedding light on industry starting to revert back several years. Prop firms exist to make money. They are a business first and their top goal should and always be bottom line (granted no prop has shown this number). I also understand why props go live. They can’t copy your trades forever and going risk off on your account + collected profit share + trading commission fees through IB is obviously the play and I respect that. You as a trader exist to attend and care for your bottom line as well. You should milk areas that produce money and trim areas that do not. This entire conversation is about the latter from an expense view. A dollar saved is a dollar earned, and most traders need to remember this.

We plan to provide incentives down the line our live traders. One idea being if we decide to copytrade you and you make let’s say $5000. We will not only give you the full $5000 instead of a 90/10 split, but an EXTRA $500 or 110% of your withdrawal simply because we made $5000 as well.

Do you want firms to stepup and make changes or just go under and dissapear forever!? If you can buy a sim account for $200 out of pocket max risk and then get $50k moved to live for each of them, of course you are going to have to be prevented from buying more when you have a live account. If you continued that behavior repeatedly, you essentially turn $200 to $50k over and over and are just costing the firm $49,800 each time. Obviously you won't do this the first try, but if you did before you have a higher chance to do it again than others.

You risk all your capital in your personal. Trade wisely. You don’t need a big balance at all for prop to trade size. We allow some traders 30 Real minis and allow overnight trading if approved by risk. Gotta keep a huge balance in personal for that

Correct steps! The SIM CASINO game is over for many!!! I'm sure there will be "influencers" & traders panic since this is how they survive and push affiliate codes. However, this is healthy. Risk management, live accounts, real trading, transparency, and helping grow IS the way to go.

@TradesByMatt Personally hate the idea. The accounts getting merged means I can’t have 4 safe accounts locked up and finished for the day and leave “ a runner “. The mental game will be thrown off. I’m use to seeing 1 contract going for “x” TP. Now I’ll see 5x. Likely to take profit earlier.
