Tho technically if it is some RAW format to map neurons for example that is entirely uncompressed and will always map the same amount of neuros...
IT would make sense why the file sizes are the same

@Sharkmare @oomfmaxxer Though for all we know that doesn’t mean anything and was them copying the same .dat file they had when making the video for the episode. There is also a line calling a program called “fusion” that seems like they just copy pasted an example call from documentation

Its only in one of the audio tracks so its here or there on how canon it is but in the german dub we hear Scratch asking Caine "Is there a way out of here? What is this place" meaning he had no idea about this either.

@oomfmaxxer Scratch and Ragatha's files are the same size, use a format thats a record of data and not an active stream, and the company that did the thing that caused this to happen didn't make anything that would have allowed people to live in a virtual world.

The fact that that episode 7 was all about the want to escape the circus and in the first half of episode 8 they rule out the possibility of escaping and don’t ever bring it up again later even with lucid Kinger means to me that that goal is out of the question

@Skittikyu To add context the backup line is Kinger trying to load a previous version but the version he loaded selected was apperently NONE which got interpreted as deletion which he then spent the rest of the time trying to stop and it not working

Yes Caine likely did the exact same thing he did in the trailer as he did to Pomni, but I feel like everything besides that doesn’t matter. This was a trailer meant to market the pilot afterall. So don’t take it too seriously

A block you would presume to be safe explodes killing you immediatly if not shielded, much like the torch in this case

Here's a no-brainer idea that Mojang SHOULD have done already:
What if the sulphur caves didn't allow you to place torches or lanterns at the risk of blowing the entire place up? Instead the player could be incentivised to use glowstone, shroomlights, or night vision potions!

Mojang is adding sulphur caves to Minecraft and instead of making them mechanically interesting to navigate (given the well known dangers of sulphur caves irl) they just shoved in a cutesy mob designed to sell merch and called it a day 😭
