The red sea story happened thousands of years before the quran and Islam. There were several Pharaohs who ruled Egypt according to biblical accounts. How did Muslims know that the preserved Pharaoh was the one that drowned in the red sea? Finally, the culture of mummification is an old one in Egypt. There's nothing miraculous about it.
