This year's #InternationalWomensDay theme, "Accelerate Action," urges us to intensify our efforts toward achieving gender equality. At SafeSpaceSomalia, we are committed to amplifying women's voices and fostering an environment where their rights are recognized and celebrated.

Today, on #InternationalWomensDay, we honor the remarkable contributions of #Somali women in shaping our nation's history and future. Their resilience, strength, and unwavering commitment to progress inspire us all.

In #Mogadishu recently, the National Museum of Somalia and the @UN celebrated the art of young Somali #women artists featured in a ‘Window to Her Worlds’ exhibition. Deputy Special Representative @GConway_UN, who took this opportunity to view works from other @UNTMIS_-supported exhibitions, voiced the hope that the show would inspire more Somalis to engage in artistic forms of expression.
