Wow. This week’s $INST (now $FLUID) activity on Uniswap is another clear example of how sudden spikes in trading demand translate into explosive fee yield for LP providers. The INST–WETH 1% pool briefly pushed past 160% APR, outperforming nearly every major ETH pair on Uniswap. Moments like this are exactly what Saffron Vaults are built for, so let's dig in with a🧵:

The last 2 days of yield on @Uniswap have been a macroeconomic microcosm. A case study on: 1. the weakening dollar, 2. strength in metals, and 3. altcoin attention The INST–WETH 1% pool briefly pushed past 160% APR, outperforming nearly every major ETH pair on Uniswap with significant TVL. The results have been mutually beneficial for the fixed and variable sides because of the rise of precious metals. The above gold/silver position has a 25% fixed rate, and yet, the variable side is already in profit (+75% PnL) after only 4 days.
