🔥GHMC’s Continuous Efforts to Keep Hyderabad Well-Lit !! #GHMC has been consistently strengthening the street-lighting system across the city. Today, 5.5 lakh LED streetlights (40.46 MW load) are functioning across GHMC limits. Non-glowing and day-glowing issues are being cleared within the 48-hour SLA, and new lighting requirements are taken up on priority. 💡In addition to functionality, #GHMC is beautifying major corridors, parks and flyovers with aesthetically designed streetlight poles and decorative lighting. Locations such as Krishnakant Park, Bharath Nagar Flyover, Miyapur–Hydernagar stretch and Telugu Thalli Flyover now feature themed illumination, enhancing night-time ambience and urban identity — with many more such improvements underway across the city. This initiative not only improves safety but also adds vibrancy and visual appeal to public spaces. 💡Every day, around 600+ street-light complaints are received through online, offline and social-media channels, and field teams are attending to them promptly. In the last two months, 23,845 online grievances received through various platforms, including social media, and more than 23,100 have already been resolved. 💡In incidents of tree branches obstructing streetlights, pruning or pole-height adjustments are required which may lead to extended time for resolution.
