Alot of unspoken trauma knowing that George Floyd was in our hospital, I was working nights & there were safety concerns w the riots

1/ Today at Grady Them: "Did you watch it?" Me: "I saw a part of it this morning. But that was too much so I stopped." *silence* Me: "Did you?" Them: "I ain't gon' even lie. I did. I kept saying I wasn't but I did." *silence* Me: "You okay?" Them: "Define 'okay.'"

Made it back from Maryland yesterday. My cousin Fatima Abdillahi Yasin lost her battle to Metastatic Breast cancer on 9/3/2022 while at @SuburbanHosp. Grateful to their care & support during our time of need. She was buried earlier today in #Tanzania. May Allah be pleased w her.
