Wrightsville Beach is a very boater friendly town, so it’d be nice to have a @WaveTransitILM bus stop closer to the anchorage instead of having to walk 30 minutes to the nearest bus stop.

And @WaveTransitILM is hands down the best public transportation system we’ve come across during our travels! Fair prices and clear maps/schedules. The only thing I wish the system had is a bus stop closer to the public docks/the beach.

S/V Desire is currently on its way to one of our favorite cities to anchor in: Wrightsville Beach, NC. We have lived on our 41ft Gulfstar Sailboat for over two years now. We’ve sailed from Florida to Maryland, up and down, back and forth, several times now.

An 80ft double-deck cruise ship filled with black people having an all white party just passed by @SailingDesire in Hilton Head Island, SC. They were blasting music and yelling the lyrics. I really love that for them. I LOVE to see my people enjoying life on the water. 🖤🌊

@SailingDesire has been SUPER sluggish since we left Melbourne. We are losing like 1.5-2mph of boat speed because of how dirty that river was. That’s extremely significant when your top speed is 8mph!!

Waves are a lil unruly today in the Atlantic. Gotta steer by hand while we dodge duck dip dive and dodge some of the big ones

Started this morning doing over 6 knots (6.9mph) very brisk for @SailingDesire.. we are back at a comfortable 4.2knots for now. Only one sail up. May raise the other one after lunch

There’s a sailing school in Lake Worth that practices IN THE ATLANTIC in little sailing dinghies like my rowboat. They are developing some great skills

Saw several sails up today! Love seeing sailboats get their proper exercise! 🌬️ ⛵️

Another Moonlit sail underway! This time we are sailing in the Florida Bay back to Long Key. Atlantic Ocean forecast was okay, but with winds from the east, the bay side sail seemed the easier path
